Jonas Wohlin, Chairman and Partner

Jonas Wohlin holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden. During this education, he also studied the MSc Health Care Management program at Imperial College London as an exchange student. Jonas is now enrolled in a PhD program at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden focusing on value based reimbursement systems. Jonas has extensive experience in health care management and business development within health care, both from the private sector and from working with NGOs. He has led the establishment and worked as CEO for the Rashid Center for Diabetes and Research, the UAE MoH reference center for diabetes and obesity treatment, research and professional education. Prior to that, Jonas participated in the establishment of Global Health Partner, a Swedish listed health careprovider organization, as a Business Development Manager where he had a specific focus on setting up specialized health care centers within the fields of obesity and diabetes in Europe and the Middle East. Jonas is also the founder and chairman of Operation Smile Sweden, a non-for-profit organization treating children with facial deformities in developing countries.

Peter Ekstedt, CEO and Partner

Peter studied International Business at Regent’s Business School London as well as Strategic Marketing at Copenhagen Business School. Peter has previously worked as Business Development Manager at Next Generation Broadcasting Africa; where he fostered the establishment of three digital TV service providers in Ghana, Uganda and Kenya. Peter also held the position as Senior Business Development Manager at Rocket Internet MENA; responsible for developing logistics and distribution solutions for in UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Significant green field start up experience from Middle East and Africa.

Professor Salah Abusnana, Chief Medical Advisor

Professor Abusnana holds a medical degree from Libya since 1991. He has been clinically active in the UK since 1994 where he received his MRCP in 1995, and continued clinical training in internal medicine. Since 1995 he has been actively involved in research programs related to obesity and its complications. In 1996, he was awarded with MSc. in Neuroendocrinology at Imperial College, University of London where he continued his clinical and academic work at Hammersmith Hospital. In 2001 Professor Abusnana was awarded a Ph.D. degree and in 2013 a professorship at Imperial College, University of London. From 2001, Professor Abusnana worked in the field of diabetes and endocrinology combining research, clinical practice and medical teaching at London University Hospitals, Guys and St Thomas Hospital, Brighton University hospital. Professor Abusnana holds a CCST (UK) in Diabetes and Endocrinology and is member of British Endocrine Society, Diabetes UK.

Since 2011, Professor Abusnana is the CMO of the Rashid Center for Diabetes and Research in UAE and continues his academic acitivites as a Professor at the Universtity of Sharjah.
